Blockchain - A Tool Misunderstood

In the last few years, NFTs have flooded the internet—making headlines, sparking debates, and turning some digital files into million-dollar stories. But underneath the noise and spectacle, there’s an important truth I believe in: NFTs are not a joke, not a trend, and definitely not a scam when used right.  

They are a very important tool for artists and collectors. Not for fame. Not for fast money. But for something far more meaningful: dignity.

Let me explain.

When the Pursuit of Profit Obscures Purpose

Regrettably, the initial excitement surrounding NFTs has, in many instances, been overshadowed by projects driven primarily by financial gain. A truly creative and valuable landscape has become saturated with offerings that lack genuine artistic merit, existing solely as vehicles for profit. This misuse has understandably led to a decline in public trust and a perception of NFTs as something far less valuable. The noise of fleeting trends has unfortunately drowned out the voices of artists seeking to utilize this technology in meaningful ways.

What are NFTs and What Are They Not?

First of all, they are a framework where creators can place their art—they are not the art itself. This seems so obvious that it’s ridiculous I have to explain it. However, there are still people who believe that this technology is art in itself. So let me clear this up: no, it’s only a tool that artists can use—usually as one more layer in their artistic presentation. Something that is meant to amplify the value of their art, not diminish it.

NFTs—or non-fungible tokens—were never meant to be just digital objects in a speculative game of money-making. At their core, they are about ownership, originality, and digital presence. For the first time in history, artists can attach a certificate of authenticity to their digital work that lives on the blockchain—a decentralized and immutable system.

This changes everything.

It means a digital file is no longer just a floating, easily copied image. It becomes something you can own, something unique, something that carries the signature of the artist with it wherever it goes. This is not a small shift. It’s a revolution in how art can be valued and preserved in the digital age.

My Mission: Reinstating Faith in This Technology by Providing Strong, Holistic Fundamentals

It is part of my artistic mission to actively work towards changing this narrative. I believe in the fundamental value of NFTs for artists, and I am committed to offering opportunities built on strong artistic foundations, aiming for long-term engagement and genuine appreciation rather than short-lived hype.

My intention is to contribute to a shift in perception—to restore faith in the potential of NFT technology and blockchain in general by providing projects that offer tangible value and a deeper connection to the artwork.

Where NFT Technology Shine the Most: Meaning and a Deeper Connection just like in the Traditional Art

NFTs truly reveal their full potential when they embrace the same qualities that make traditional art valuable to collectors: a strong artist’s name, unique artistic style, connection to cultural moments, traceable history, context, and more. When we treat digital art with the same reverence we give to works in galleries and museums—when curators, critics, collectors, and communities gather around it—NFTs stop being a marketplace and start becoming an artistic movement.

By embedding these real-world values into the digital framework, NFTs become more than files with a price tag. They become cultural artifacts, held in digital collections, displayed in virtual galleries, and passed on with pride and meaning. The blockchain becomes not just a ledger—it becomes a museum of intention and memory.

This is where the technology truly shines—when it returns to serving the art, not overshadowing it. When the NFT is the silent frame, and the art inside it is what breathes.

Originally, blockchain was meant to provide the same value in the digital world as the tools that preceded it in the real world—and even more. But only if used as initially intended.

So yes, there can be something luxurious about NFTs. But not in the shallow sense of wealth or exclusivity. It’s the luxury of being seen, traced, valued, and remembered in a digital world that often forgets.
