ESCAPE

Individuals that survive had to mentally adapt to the new world in which economic demand was ruthless. There was no need for too many guns, walls, and military... Not even too much laws. The system control was based on the extreme economic scarcity and advanced informational and frequential insights. That was enough. New capitalism was simplified, comparing to an old and complex form of capitalism but not in a way that serves people. Only in a way that serves the corporation.

Those who entered the new form of capitalism as technicians, developers and programmers will probably stay on that job for the end of their lives. They are basically safe living a comfortable life of the middle class. However, there was also some kind of silent fear among them, that their skills will also be replaced with smart machine learning software, capable of programming other software. But the corporation showed a tendency to status quo in that field also. It looks like they don't have an interest in replacing every single human with machine. It was good this way. At least for now.

But the majority of poor people that entered new capitalism as working class, ended up in the most dystopian environment, where their only value was to wander the earth, usually without permanent residence, searching for trash. Global warming crisis damaged the quality of soil and water, so it was hard for them to make their own gardens and farms. The number of animals was also reduced after the global catastrophe, so corporation forbid their killing. The lower class was heavily dependent on the system. They got their own basic portions of food, water, and low-quality healthcare. Hoping that corporation doesn't want to lower their number with it.

Also, a situation in which the world is going to stay without trash one day was their biggest fear. They couldn't upgrade their knowledge and skills to a level of developers and technicians because there was not enough demand for them. New middle-class workers were created out of the same families.

So even if there was a basic supply of food, water, and health care they were getting for free, it was psychologically very hard to live in such a world. They were losing their sense of worth, feeling unvalued by society. Living among trash, in mobile card box houses or similar low and poor conditions. Seeing nothing but a gray filthy world, they almost had no pleasure.

There was chronical and a collective problem of infertility and even impotence among men, so even normal sex was an issue for them. Anonymous blamed corporation even for that, claiming it was an artificial problem.

Limited recording to 33 seconds and limited access to the Internet, with low-quality smartphones they could trade with trash they collected, was sometimes the only form of fun and pleasure.

In that kind of psychological conditions depression, anxiety, psychosis with suicidal tendencies was the common byproduct of such life. That is where the corporation decided to introduce a new type of technology called “extended reality therapy“. The result was an imaginary escape into a better life. The amount of such therapy was also determined by the amount of trash those people will collect.

It quickly became a new addiction. Sometimes one and only meaning.

Only the strongest refused it, trying to make their own natural ways to cope with it.

They were usually part of the Anonymous. And they build their own philosophy around this situation. A philosophy based on thinking of 20th-century philosopher Jiddu Krishnamurti.

"So my name is Mark. Just Mark. With no last name. I am the new generation of a lower class. We don't have last names. We have numbers. I am Mark 7. As a seventh Mark in this month and in this district.

This is the end of the first part.

But the beginning of a much larger story.".

FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS BY MARK

Now, I am going to use "extended reality therapy'' as we call it, to take myself into the parallel reality. There I can enjoy this world as it really is because this device is far more than just a "digital drug" for escape.

Extended reality therapy actually works by altering the frequency of human perception, amplifying it in a way that we can see this world in its "parallel" - which is just another word for the fact that this same place is actually multidimensional.

You are very welcome to join me on this trip. Just relax, close your eyes in the dark, and play this album from the beginning. Let it take you. You might want to use your own substitution for "extended reality therapy technology" as long as it's legal and healthy in your own world. Responsibility for that decision is only yours.

To start, go to this page and download or play the album from the beginning. Then relax and let the trip take you. You might experience the whole structure of this story with completely different eyes and be very surprised what kind of new world you'll discover.
